Uudet miljardihankkeet pit\u00e4\u00e4 laittaa j\u00e4ihin. Valtion liikennev\u00e4ylien korjausvelka on noin 2,8 mrd. \u20ac, josta raideliikenteen osuus on reilu 1 mrd. \u20ac. Valtiovarain- ja Liikenne- ja viestint\u00e4ministeri\u00f6n tekem\u00e4n selvityksen mukaan suuret raideliikennehankkeet maksaisivat yhteens\u00e4 7\u201312 mrd. euroa! T\u00e4t\u00e4 rahaa ei ole valtion nykyisiss\u00e4 kehyksiss\u00e4. Jos n\u00e4m\u00e4 hankkeet toteutettaisiin, se tarkoittaisi rahaa pois muun muassa perustienpidosta ja muusta tieliikenteen kehitt\u00e4misest\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Suunnittelussa oleva hanke, niin sanottu mets\u00e4rata eli tunnin rata v\u00e4lill\u00e4 Helsinki &#8211; Tampere on j\u00e4rjet\u00f6n. Hankkeen hintaluokka on noin kolme miljardia euroa. T\u00e4m\u00e4 ei ole ainoa miljardien raidehanke, mik\u00e4 on suunnittelussa. Mets\u00e4ratahankkeen ilmastovaikutuksetkaan eiv\u00e4t ole my\u00f6nteiset ja sen laskennallinen \u201dtakaisinmaksuaika\u201d liikenn\u00f6innist\u00e4 saatavilla p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6v\u00e4hennyksill\u00e4 on jopa noin 300 vuotta!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Nykyisen p\u00e4\u00e4radan&nbsp;Helsinki\u2013H\u00e4meenlinna\u2013Tampere\u2013Sein\u00e4joki\u2013Kokkola\u2013Ylivieska\u2013Oulu ja etenkin sen t\u00e4rkeimm\u00e4n osuuden Helsinki-H\u00e4meenlinna-Tampere, kehitt\u00e4misen on oltava ensisijainen toimenpide. Kalliilla mets\u00e4ratahankkeella s\u00e4\u00e4stet\u00e4\u00e4n matka-aikaa vain minuutteja. Samalla se sy\u00f6 elinvoimaa usean kunnan alueelta. Kanta-H\u00e4me j\u00e4isi mopen asemaan. Tunnin rata hy\u00f6dytt\u00e4isi vain niit\u00e4 paikkakuntia, joissa se pys\u00e4htyisi. Muita alueita se n\u00e4ivett\u00e4\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Julkisen liikenteen tulee palvella mahdollisimman monia. Siksi tarvitaan my\u00f6s henkil\u00f6junien pys\u00e4hdyksi\u00e4 nykyist\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n. On turha edellytt\u00e4\u00e4 julkisen liikenteen k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4, jos sit\u00e4 ei ole tai jos sen kyytiin ei edes p\u00e4\u00e4se. Ensin perustienpito ja nykyinen rataverkko kuntoon. Kuntoon laittamisella&nbsp;my\u00f6s voidaan nopeuttaa nykyisi\u00e4 yhteyksi\u00e4. Lis\u00e4raiteita rakentamalla on mahdollista v\u00e4hent\u00e4\u00e4 hidastavia pullonkauloja. Tieverkon on oltava kunnossa yksityisteist\u00e4 muuhun alempiasteiseen tieverkkoon, kantateihin ja valtateihin saakka, my\u00f6s koko Kanta-H\u00e4meess\u00e4. Maaseudun elinvoiman yksi keskeisimpi\u00e4 tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 ovat kunnossa olevat tiet. Niihin pit\u00e4\u00e4 panostaa, koska maaseudulta tulee ruokamme raaka-aineet ja vihre\u00e4 kulta mets\u00e4teollisuuden puuraaka-aineet. Jos ylip\u00e4\u00e4ns\u00e4 mietit\u00e4\u00e4n uusia raidehankkeita, niiden tulee kohdentua alueille, miss\u00e4 raideyhteyksi\u00e4 ei viel\u00e4 ole.
